Generate reproducible, high-throughput engineered tissues in a standardized, automation-ready platform. The Microtissue Platform Kit enables the generation and long-term culture of a wide range of microtissues and organoids using a simple 96-well format. Originally developed for cardiac microtissues and described in Zhao et al., Cell Biomaterials (2025), the platform can be readily adapted to other tissue types and disease models. Each 96-well plate supports the formation of more than 2,000 individual microtissues, allowing up to 96 independent experimental conditions for drug screening, toxicity testing, disease modelling, and protocol optimization. The SBS-compatible format integrates directly with automated liquid handling and imaging systems, making it suitable for both manual and automated workflows. The proprietary plate incorporates a gas-permeable PDMS bottom that enhances oxygen exchange and supports healthy long-term tissue culture. Engineered tissues can be fixed, immunostained, and imaged directly in the plate without harvesting, reducing handling and preserving sample integrity.
