This global hackathon brings together participants across the physical sciences and mathematics at 16 on-site locations worldwide to build solutions to some of science’s biggest challenges using agents, LLMs, datasets, benchmarks, models, scientific software, and more, with the Toronto site sponsored by the Acceleration Consortium and hosted at the Vector Institute.

The Machine Learning for Microscopy Hackathon is a hands-on event that brings together researchers, students, and professionals to solve real microscopy problems using AI and data-driven tools. Participants work in small interdisciplinary teams to explore imaging, spectroscopy, and automation challenges, learning from mentors and peers along the way.
