Joshua Derasp

Joshua Derasp is a staff scientist in the Hein lab at University of British Columbia focused on the development of automated platforms to tackle complex challenges in process chemistry. He specializes in synthetic organic chemistry and helps guide the development of automated workflows to accelerate reaction optimization streamline product isolation. Prior to joining the Hein lab, he completed a PhD at the University of Ottawa focused on synthetic method development.
