Yang’s research focuses on the automated exploration of novel molecular systems and their applications in energy conversion and storage. Before joining the Acceleration Consortium, Yang was a Research Associate at the University of Toronto, where he implemented automated electrochemical systems for material discovery. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Material Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. Yang worked on various topics, including main group chemistry, catalysis, light-emitting materials and photovoltaics. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.
