Tiago Rodrigues

Tiago received his PharmD (2006) and PhDin Medicinal Chemistry (2010) from the University of Lisbon with Dr F Lopes. Hethen moved to the ETH Zürich to work as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof GSchneider (2011-2015), implementing microfluidics-assisted syntheses, de novodrug design and machine learning strategies for property prediction. He movedback to Portugal as a Senior Scientist in the group of Prof G Bernardes wherehe leveraged machine learning to deorphanize high value natural products. In 2019he co-founded TargTex S.A., a pre-clinical stage European biotech developingnext generation glioblastoma therapeutics using machine learning tools.Since2019 he leads the Digital Chemistry Lab at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universityof Lisbon, where he focuses on low data machine learning to acceleratemedicinal chemistry, chemical biology, nanotechnology and synthetic chemistrytogether with multiple industrial partners. In 2022 he was appointed asAssistant Professor at FFUL. He also serves as ECB at J Med Chem (ACS) and is aconsultant to several pharmaceutical, biotech and tech companies.
