Research Areas

Bio

Stuart R Green is a Staff Scientist at the Acceleration Consortium working in theMedicinal Chemistry SDL. In this role, Stuart plays a critical role developing biophysical assay solutions to apply to the process of automated drug discovery and hit validation. Prior to starting work at the AC, he completed his post-doctoral research at the Structural Genomics Consortium in University of Toronto supervised by Masoud Vedadi and Levon Halabelian. During his time at the SGC his work focused on characterizing protein-small molecule interactions through design of high-throughput screening assay campaigns for hit discovery. Central to these projects was the optimization and implementation of a wide variety of biophysical assays including fluorescence polarization (FP) and other fluorescence-based displacement assays, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF) thermal shift assays and many others. Before working with the SGC, Stuart completed his PhD at Carleton University in the lab of Ken Storey where he developed assays for assessing the functional parameters of enzymes in central metabolism to study animal hypometabolic regulation.
