Santha Santhakumar

Santha is a Senior Staff Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry SDL at the Acceleration Consortium. Before joining the AC, he was a project manager at the University of Toronto’s Structural Genomics Consortium where he managed chemical probe identification projects with pharma, biotech and academic collaborators since 2013. Santha has several years of drug discovery and medicinal chemistry project management experience due to positions at Astra Zeneca where he worked as a drug discovery project leader and medicinal chemistry leader. Santha holds a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Leeds and completed his post-doctoral studies at the University of Nottingham and the University of Toronto. He is interested in developing chemical tools and drug lead molecules using AI and automation in a closed loop.
