During his PhD, Pascal Friederich worked on multiscale simulation and computational design of organic semiconductors for solar cells and OLEDs. He joined the group of Alán Aspuru-Guzik in 2018 as a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Fellow, working on machine learning methods for materials property prediction and inverse materials design. In 2019, Pascal Friederich started as an assistant professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he is running the Artificial Intelligence for Materials Science ("AiMat", https://aimat.science).
Pascal Friederich's AiMat lab is focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning for materials science and chemistry. He develops algorithms for decision making in autonomous labs, as well as machine learning methods for accelerated materials simulations and materials design.
