As a staff scientist in the polymer group at the Acceleration Consortium, Owen is responsible for re- imagining the possibilities for responsible polymer research using self-driving labs. As the first doctoral student in the Lessard Research Group (LRG) at the University of Ottawa, Owen investigated new materials for organic thin-film transistors and sensors. After obtaining his PhD in 2020, Owen joined Amber Molecular, a startup where he applied data science and machine learning to increase OLED fabrication throughput and to accelerate OLED materials discovery.
