Jillian Buriak holds the Canada Research Chair of Nanomaterials for Energy. Buriak’s research group is interested in several themes of materials chemistry, including the development of materials for energy applications, design of experiments and machine learning methods, organic photovoltaics, alloyed materials for electrochemical energy storage, self-assembly for nanopatterning applications on semiconductor surfaces, and mechanistic surface chemistry on semiconductors such as silicon. She is presently an Associate Editor at ACS Nano.
Materials for energy applications, in particular earth-abundant materials for energy storage, helping devise methods for researchers to optimize experimental results faster, less wasted time and resources (and for the record, time is the most precious resource).
