Dr. Frantz Le Dévédec, a Senior Staff Scientist at the Acceleration Consortium, currently leading a team of staff scientists on multidisciplinary projects including pharmaceutical, cosmetical, nutraceutical, and specialized formulation development. With over 15 years of experience in research, spanning both academia and industry, Frantz has an extensive background in polymer and material sciences, sustainability, natural health products, and pharmaceutical drug delivery technologies. He has contributed his expertise to the development of innovative biocompatible materials applied to cancer therapy, pain management, dermatology, and infectious disease treatment. He is an author of over 20 scientific publications and patents, showcasing his expertise in multidisciplinary fields.
Frantz received his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry at UQÀM and completed his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry with honors at the Université de Montréal. He has worked as a research associate at prominent institutions such as the University of Toronto, University Health Network, and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He has also worked for several biotechnology companies, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in diverse work environments. His leadership in research and expertise in translational sciences have been pivotal in the biotech industry by supporting research projects with several academic collaborators while establishing large-scale industrial purification processes of natural active ingredients and transferring more than thirty oral and topical products from benchtop to commercialization.
