Bio

Bertrand Neyhouse joined the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor in 2025. He completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, working with Anne McNeil to advance electrochemical approaches for PVC recycling. He received my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, where he worked with Fikile Brushett, focusing on rational design strategies for redox flow batteries, applying chemical and electrochemical engineering principles to better understand design tradeoffs for constituent materials. Prior to graduate school, he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University.
