Bio

Ali Shayesteh is a Staff Scientist at the Acceleration Consortium Before joining the Acceleration Consortium, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Sinton's group, leading the ethanol subgroup and focusing on CO2 and CO reduction to chemical feedstocks. Ali holds a BSc and MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from Iran, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, where he also spent time as a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research expertise spans the development of new materials for electrocatalysis and renewable energy. Ali has been honoured with various awards and scholarships, including an NSERC Fellowship, Izaak Walton Scholarship, Alberta Innovates Scholarship, and the Schulich School of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award.
